Benidorm Charity Day raises €4,100

‘BENIDORM’ star Jake Canuso, who plays Spanish barman Mateo in the hit television series, gave his support to the Charity Day at the Show Boat pub in Benidorm on July 26 to help raise money for the ‘For the love of dogs and cats’ charity.

Linda Jean who runs the animal Sanctuary and re-housing scheme single-handedly will be known to many of you for the fantastic work she does as well as being one of the local ‘stars’ from ‘Bargain Hunting Brits in the Sun’ television programme.

The day featured many of Benidorm’s top acts, who all gave up their time for free.

Jean praised the event, saying, “Where do I begin. What an absolutely wonderful day we had. We raised €4,100.00 for the doggies, and a lot of this came from Jake Canuso for his auctions which raised nearly €1000 and the photos he had taken with people.”
