A FLIGHT from Manchester to Gran Canaria saw the Guardia Civil called in to assist with a disruptive passenger.
The Spanish police were waiting to board the Ryanair aircraft as it landed at 11pm on Saturday at Gando airport.
It is unclear what occurred on board the flight however it is standard procedure to detain the accused to take a statement and formally identify so that the incident can be reported to the Spanish Aviation Authorities.
This latest report comes after a number of other similar incidents now the tourist season is in full swing.
A story covered by the Euro Weekly last month showed that British tourists are the number one culprit for trouble aboard flights, with 862 incidents reported last year, 264 of which involved British passengers.
