East inland temperatures reaching 40 degrees

THE State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has issued an orange warning for inland areas of the Valencia and Murcia region.

Tomorrow (Friday) temperatures are predicted to reach 40 degrees in some areas of the South East whilst on the coast there will be a lesser yellow warning as temperatures are expected to hover around the mid-thirties at the hottest times of day.

The temperature is forecast to go down over the weekend in most areas of the Valencia region but inland Murcia is looking at a sweltering weekend as the average temperature for the city centre from now until Sunday is 37 degrees.

Moving into next week, Valencia is set to start with a pleasant 30 something average whilst Murcia looks likely to have a sweaty start as the week begins in the mid-thirties and will carry on rising until Wednesday when it will finally start to cool down a bit.
