SIX people were hurt when a supermarket’s ceiling collapsed in Palma.
All those hurt were customers, with three taken to hospital and the others treated on the scene.
Local Police, Palma firefighters and ambulances were quickly at the Eroski supermarket on Sunday to sift through the wreckage at 1.22pm.
Such was the scene of destruction that they called for a sniffer dog to help them search through the piles of plaster and rubble.
Eyewitnesses said there was no warning before the ceiling fell in. People screamed before billowing dust left them choking.
Fire fighters decided to evacuate the two neighbouring buildings until a structural survey was done to prove they had not been weakened.
