A MAN has been arrested for two armed robberies at the same Alcudia hotel.
Guardia Civil say that the 32-year-old man entered the hotel and threatened the duty receptionist two nights in a row.
In the first incident he brandished a pistol, which police later found was an airgun, before taking off with €500.
The following night he returned armed with a knife and this time stole €3,500. Although in both cases the man had his face covered, Guardia Civil managed to identify and arrest a suspect.
In the search they carried out at his home, they found a knife and clothes that matched a description given by witnesses. The gun was found by a bin and handed in by a member of the public.
Guardia Civil also arrested a 21-year-old man who allegedly provided the robber with information.
