FAMILY and friends of a British broadcaster living in Mijas who died last May are set to gather for a memorial service on Tuesday July 2.
The service for Karen McMahon, who presented Mijas Communication’s English language news programme, is set to go ahead at La Cala de Mijas’ Santa Teresa parish church from 8pm.
Pastor Juan Baena is due to host the memorial which will be delivered in English and Spanish, according to Mijas Council’s Foreigners Department.
McMahon died in Britain following a lengthy illness. Mijas Foreigners Department said in a statement she battled against it until the end.
