Man arrested suspected of stabbing his mother in Marbella

POLICE were alerted to the scene after a desperate call from the injured mother in the early hours of the morning last Saturday (June 8) during which she claimed her son had stabbed her several times.

The National Police Force of the Police Station of Marbella were quickly on the scene to interview the woman and to track down her son who had briefly fled the scene.

According to reports the detained became violent and confrontational, and during an attack the victim received several stab wounds to her arms and body. None were reportedly serious or life threatening.

The suspect was found on the roof of the property sitting with his feet hanging over the edge threatening to jump from the 15m high platform. Officers managed to persuade the man down and thanks to the quick actions of the local patrol he was apprehended safely.

During interview, the mother revealed her son had mental health issues and may have taken narcotics on the night in question.
