Jamie Oliver’s UK restaurant group has recently been in the news after it fell into administration and saw the immediate closure of 22 restaurants across the UK.

THE brand makes ground on the international market after announcing it will open a new concept in Malaga International Airport.

In partnership with food travel operator SSP, Jamie’s Deli continues to operate in airports across the world, with the new site in Malaga offering artisan pizzas, sandwiches, salads and pastries.

The chef’s restaurant empire is currently under administration and being looked after by administrators KPMG. Although the chains 22 restaurants were forced into closure, the Jamie’s Deli airport sites and Jamie’s Fifteen restaurant continues to trade.

SSP launched the venture as part of a refurbishment of the airports food establishments, including a Burger King and two Starbucks.
