Mr Atwood continues to recover from horrific accident. Credit:gofundme
Haydn Atwood, 39, was involved in a horrific accident that has seen him in intensive care for two weeks.
Mr Atwood was flung into the air violently after being hit by a car and is unable to recognise his family whilst also losing weight at an alarming rate.
He and and his teenage son were jogging in Malaga when he accidentally tripped and fell into the path of an oncoming car. Paramedics fought to save his life whilst his son watched on in shock.
It is estimated that the family will require between €18,000 and €28,000 to cover the medical bills as Mr Atwood did not have travel insurance. Despite an appeal to the British consulate in Malaga the officials could not help with the costs.
The Foreign Office said: “We are assisting the family of a British man who has been hospitalised in Spain.”
