British woman dies on Ryanair flight at Majorca airport

JANICE MCNEILL fell ill just before take-off on the flight from Majorca to Edinburgh and suffered a suspected heart attack in front of horrified passengers. 

Fellow travellers were removed from the flight and emergency services and crew tried to revive the fifty-eight-year-old but she was pronounced dead shortly after arriving on the scene. 

Ms McNeill was flying back to Edinburgh from Majorca to celebrate her 59^th birthday. Although the authorities have named the woman as ‘British’ it is not known what part of the country she is from. 

An autopsy is expected to be performed shortly to report cause of death but it is strongly believed to have been caused by cardiac arrest.
