Record numbers expected at Manilva’s Pride in June

THIS year, organisers of Manilva’s Pride event say they expect to host ‘record numbers’.

According to founder Christian Lee Dunn: “We expect to see record numbers at Manilva Pride, with tourists visiting us from Spain, UK, Ireland, Belgium, Sweden, Holland, Norway, France and many more.”

Taking place over three days and kicking off on Friday June 14 at 10pm, attendees will be able to enjoy more than 12 acts at Main Stage, Duquesa Port, including Madeline Bell and Yes Sir I can Boogie Stars Baccara.

The festivities continue on Saturday June 15 at 5pm in Orange Square, Sabinillas with performances from the local expat Choir, local Dance school and a group of Scottish ladies who flying over to provide Brazilian drumming.

Following the concert, the Pride Parade begins at 8pm and will see thousands of people and a variety of floats and flags take to the streets, looping Sabinillas and making their way to Duquesa Port.

Later, the evening’s entertainment will continue at Main Stage with Spanish rising stars Jia Miles and Neo Pinto, as well as chart-topping 90’s legends Livin’ Joy.

The following day will see an afternoon street party taking place in Duquesa Port Main Stage from 3pm until 9pm, with a variety of acts taking to the stage.

Also on display will be Pride Stars, a global Pride talent competition offering a chance to represent Manilva Pride in the grand final at Winter Pride 2019.
