THE Costa del Sol-based Costa Women group has held a summer fashion show to support a charity’s project to build a women’s centre near one of Gambia’s largest cities.

Costa Women held the event at the Estepona’s El Campanario Golf and Country House in support of the PING charity.

Costa Women’s Ali Meehan said her organisation was ‘delighted’ to support PING.

PING is working to build the Women’s Centre in Mansour, near Brikama in the West African country as part of The Girls Agenda. The event raised €3,000 for the project which is currently going through the planning process.

The summer fashion show featured food, music, stalls and prizes. It saw fashion designers Adele Pearce, Monkirusa and Fairway+blue showcase their new summer collections.

Models Adele, Michele, Barbie, Lori and Sue were led by Anne O’Halloran Ryan in a professional show.

Vocalist Gema Cabanas entertained attendees with vocals while Engel & Volkers and Duffy Chiropractic sponsored the event.
