TRAGIC ACCIDENT: Police at the scene of the accident Source Facebook
AT 10.30pm on Tuesday, in Calle Ruzafa, Benidorm a coach, which was taking tourists to their hotels in Benidorm, went out of control and after crashing through a telephone box, pinned a pedestrian against a shop window.
Sadly the pedestrian a young Portuguese woman, aged between 25 and 30 years, died in the accident.
The coach driver is apparently in shock, so cannot assist Police with the cause of the accident.
The Police are investigating further and examining the scene, to ascertain the cause of the accident.
The tourists, who are said to have been shocked by the accident, were provided with alternative transport to their respective hotels.
The shop, Ale Hop, in Calle Ruzafa has been cordoned off, whilst it has some structural damage examined to ascertain if the building is safe.
Investigations continue and the deceased woman’s friend, who she was with at the time, has been given Consular assistance.
