A 19-MONTH-OLD boy has been left with serious head injuries after his mother reportedly slipped and ‘dropped him 20 feet,’ in Mallorca.

The incident is said to have taken place at around 1.45pm yesterday as the woman walked along a pedestrian walkway in Sa Calobra, northwest Mallorca.

According to Spanish media, the walkway ‘lead to the Torrent de Pareis tunnels.’

Staff at a nearby restaurant called emergency services before a police officer, doctor, and nurse performed first aid.

A rescue helicopter later transferred the boy and his mother to the Hospital de Son Espases’ Paediatric Intensive Care Unit, while police also drove the child’s father to hospital.

The boy was said to be ‘conscious and crying’ after the fall. The hospital is carrying out further tests to determine the extent of his injuries.
