A 35-year-old man’s car zoomed through the city of Valencia on Monday May 13 before crashing into a lamppost and two palm trees.
The BMW 435 X-Drive was going at a speed of 186 kilometres per hour when entering the Grand Via Fernando el Católico de València.
The right front wheel impacted a curb and was flung to the right, hitting a lamppost and two palm trees that were knocked down.
The engine of the car was located over 30 metres away from the initial impact point having smashed into a real estate agency.
Leonardo M., who was driving the car, is currently in serious condition at the La Fe’s resuscitation unit after having suffered a traumatic brain injury.
