WICKED?: Bullfighter wipes bull’s tears with a handkerchief before killing it in Seville

SOCIAL Media has gone wild after the well-known bullfighter, Morante de la Puebla, dried a bull’s tears just before killing it last Friday May 10.

The events took place at the Maestranza bullring in Seville during the ‘Feria de Abril’, or April Fair, when the man pulled out a handkerchief, approached the animal, and wiped its tears.

The bullfighter’s gesture was applauded at the square; however, many users took to social media to criticise the man’s attitude, having been described as a “psychopath”, a “sick sadist” or “disgusting”.

The president of PACMA, Animalist Party Against Mistreatment of Animals, highlighted that “only a twisted and perverse mind would be able to torture an animal until blood drips down its legs and wipe its face with a handkerchief”.
