HOLLYWOOD icon, Doris Day, has died at the age of 97, her foundation has confirmed.
The legendary American actress and singer’s death has been confirmed by the Doris Day Animal Foundation.
She died surrounded by close friends at her home in California.
Doris Day starred in some of Hollywood’s classic films and was a huge icon in the 60s.
“Day had been in excellent physical health for her age, until recently contracting a serious case of pneumonia, resulting in her death,” the foundation stated in an emailed statement.
