Estepona's 'longest slide in Spain' closed down.
THAT didn’t last long. Less than 24 hours after ‘the longest urban slide in Spain’ opened to the public it has been closed for a safety review.
The move comes after several users complained of being hurt on the 38-metre long slide, which runs from Calle Reina Sofia to Calle Eslovaquia in the Costa del Sol town of Estepona.
The town coumcil insists that proper signage had been put up to tell users how to use the slide safely and that it had passed safety regulations, but after several people complained of injuries and friction burns it decided to shut it down.
