Passengers restrain ‘violent man’ on Ryanair flight to Spain

PASSENGERS on a Ryanair flight had to come to the rescue of a flight attendant as a man who allegedly threatened to “kill every single passenger” grabbed a fire extinguisher to apparently hit her with.

Mobile phone footage shows passengers on the flight from Manchester to Gran Canaria struggling to restrain the man who had flown into a fury.

He allegedly tried to open the exterior door several times, and allegedly ripped the top and mobile phone of a female passenger during the incident.

Passengers then had to keep him pinned to the floor for about 45 minutes, while in the video he can be heard shouting: “I will kill every single one of you.”

He continues: I will literally burn your house down. I’ve grown up in Little Level, Bolton and I will defend for myself.

I will literally fight every one of you and kill you, and don’t think I’m joking, I will kill every one of you.

The man was arrested on arrival in Gran Canaria after Ryanair called for police assistance

Ryanair says the man has now been permanently banned from all of its flights and the matter is now in the hands of Spanish police.

Ryanair said:

“The crew of this flight from Manchester to Gran Canaria (4 May) requested police assistance upon landing after a passenger had a psychotic episode. The passenger became abusive towards and struck members of the cabin crew and had to be restrained by other passengers. This is now a matter for local police.”
