A MOUNTAIN rescue team was called in to recover the body of a foreign man whose car plunged 10-metres (30ft) down an embankment on the Costa Blanca in Spain.
Guardia Civil police officers said the accident happened next to an abandoned urbanisation in Pego (Alicante).
It is not known if the occupant of the foreign-plated car was on holiday or was resident in the area.
Officials believe that the deceased was a 57-year-old man of Swedish nationality.
