A PETITION against the construction of new motorways across Mallorca’s unspoilt countryside has attracted 4,200 signatures from people of 30 nationalities. Called “Llamamiento por una Mallorca más verde, digna y justa” (appeal for a greener, more dignified and fairer Mallorca) the petition was supported by a string of local personalities from the field of culture and literature. It will be handed over to the Consell de Mallorca next week.
