BREAKING: Lifeless bodies of mother and young son found in cave after massive search in Spain – man arrested

A HUGE search by emergency services and volunteers has found the dead bodies of a missing mother and her son in a cave on a Spanish island this afternoon (Wednesday) after the alarm was raised by a six-year-old boy.

Members of the Guardia Civil and the Emergency Military Unit, together with Local Police officers, firefighters and a Canary Island rescue found the bodies after several intense hours of searching.

The search was triggered after another child escaped from an alleged attack on the family by his father. The youngest was found ‘disorientated’ by hikers.

Sources close to the investigation said that the six-year-old boy had told Guardia Civil officers that “there was a lot of blood” when he fled the scene in a wooded area of Ifonche on the Canary Island of Tenerife.

Officers believe the woman and children had travelled from Germany to Tenerife to visit the father, of German nationality when the assault took place.

The man has been arrested by the police and has reportedly refused to answer their questions.
