WORK CONDITIONS: Malaga cleaners came out to protest in Fuengirola. Credit: Nicki Burgess
MUNICIPAL cleaners have turned out to protest their work conditions in the centre of Fuengirola today (Saturday).
A rally taking part not far from the Euro Weekly News headquarters saw protestors clad in high visibility vests and jackets waving banners and holding placards describing their “fight” for an agreement over future conditions.
The protest, organised by Spain’s largest trade union, CCOO, and the Union General de Trabajadores (UGT), saw the centre of Fuengirola come to a standstill as demonstrators filled the street.
