Investigation opens after man dies in ship fall in southern Spain

ANDALUCIA’S 112 emergency services have confirmed that a 27-year-old man has died after a fall inside a docked ship this morning (Friday).

The man, a crew member of the boat, suffered a fall inside the vessel at the Campamento shipyard, in San Roque (Cadiz).

Firefighters, paramedics, Guardia Civil and National Police officers rushed to the scene but he was pronounced dead.

An investigation into the accident has been opened by health and safety inspectors.
