A BUDGET airline is studying the possibility of new air routes between Barcelona and Asia.
Level announced plans to expand its range of destinations from Barcelona, with an eye to opening new Asia routes in the summer of 2020.
Vincent Hodder, the airline’s CEO, told Spanish media: “Barcelona has a lot of potential, it’s the best option for growth and we want to continue growing.” He added: “There are many interesting big cities in Asia, but we have not made any concrete plans now.”
The businessman said: “In October, when the winter season begins, we will look at the routes we operate, as well as the frequencies and decide how to best use our capacity.”
Ahead of its Asia plans, Level has also just opened a route from Barcelona to Santiago, Chile twice a week until the end of July when the flights will double to four times a week.
