POLICE in Tenerife have allegedly brought down one of Spain’s most prolific money counterfeiting gangs.
Officers from the National Police have arrested four Italians in connection with the alleged crime, and have seized around €15,500 in fake notes.
Police claim the gang counterfeited €10 and €20 notes, and said officers seized around €9,000 in fake notes from a cash register in Arona. Officers said the group printed high quality false notes, as well as false identity documents.
The gang reportedly made around €7,500 a month from their enterprise.
