SPAIN’S Costa Blanca holiday hotspot was shaken by a magnitude 4.0 earthquake this afternoon (Sunday).
The quake was recorded just off the Mediterranean coast of Torrevieja according to the state Instituto Geografico Nacional at 5.16pm local time.
The epicentre of the seismic event was at a latitude of 38.0183, longitude -0.4490 and at a depth of just 10km.
There are currently no reports of personal injuries or damage to property in the minor quake.
