Pupil’s mother ‘attacks’ teacher in Spain after school breakfast row

THE MOTHER of a schoolchild has allegedly broken the lip of a teacher after a row over the breakfast served to pupils as part of the Dia de Andalucia celebrations.

The ugly incident is reported to have happened at a primary school in Churriana (Malaga) after the traditional bread and tomato snack was served to pupils.

According to a union source the boy complained to his family that he had not been given the breakfast he wanted. It is claimed the minor’s grandfather then paid a visit to the school to protest and, it is alleged, that when the boy’s mother joined him an argument with a teacher ensued.

It is claimed the teacher was assaulted suffered a broken lip in the altercation.

The Delegation of Education of the Junta de Andalucia has condemned ‘any act of violence against a member of the educational community’ and wished the teacher a ‘prompt and complete recovery.’

The CSIF union has also offered the teacher legal and psychological advice.
