A PROFESSIONAL diver has died while performing underwater maintenance tasks in Ibiza port in Spain’s Balearic Islands.
The 28-year-old man is believed to have suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest in the accident which has been reported as work-related.
Colleagues said the man was working at a depth of about 40-metres when he became unconscious.
They returned him to the surface where they and 061 performed CPR but his life could not be saved.
