THE Marbella branch of Specsavers has joined a fundraising drive to help a young local who lost all four limbs to septicaemia.
Specsavers Opticas Marbella said it is now selling bracelets to raise money for Sarah Almagro Vallejo. Sarah needs €200,000 for a prosthesis following amputations in July last year.
The opticians said in a statement the bracelets bore the slogan Palante con Sarah (Forward with Sarah in English).
“Specsavers Opticas Marbella are encouraging their customers and local residents to get involved with the campaign and help this woman and others like her,” Specsavers said.
The bracelets cost €2.50, with all money going to the Somostu Ola (We are your Wave in English) foundation created to raise money for the case. The charity also helps others who have had septicaemia and their families.
Specsavers’ Marbella branch is on Avenida Ricardo Soriano, 12.
