A MEMBER of a political group in Mijas has accused a local councillor of committing hate crimes by using an anti-Semitic slur during a speech.
Ludovico Lopez, of the Association for a Democratic Europe, claimed Mijas councillor and leftist Podemos member Francisco Martinez used the term “Jewish dogs” during a speech. Lopez has since filed a complaint with a court in Fuengirola.
Martinez said he was on record for apologising to the Jewish community for the comment and accused Lopez of taking his words out of context for political gain.
