MOJACAR is an online search favourite, according to a tourism portal study.
The Sensacion Rural and o10media investigation of Google searches for Spanish tourist towns and villages ranks Mojacar as the third most popular last year, with 365,000, behind Peñíscola in Castellón and Llanes in Asturias.
Other Almeria towns making it into the 2018 top ten for online searches for destinations in Andalucia were Carboneras, ranked eighth, and Aguadulce, which was 10th on the list.
The analysis looked at tourism-related searches, for example linked to accommodation, restaurants and places of interest.
