A MAJOR holiday airline has scrapped three routes from an airport in the UK to Spain this summer.
Thomas Cook has ditched routes to Lanzarote (Thursdays), Palma (Wednesdays) and Ibiza (Saturdays) from Cardiff Airport.
Some customers who had booked tickets have been forced to take alternative flights after the airline cut several flights from the schedule.
Many of the affected passengers have been offered new flights from Bristol Airport or refunds.
The airline blamed the cuts on tight turnaround times “resulting in potential delays for customers” and said that despite the revised flying schedule the summer seat capacity from the Welsh airport is still up on 2018.
