NEED THE POLICE IN SPAIN?: Get the ALERTCOPS app now!

ALERTCOPS is an official mobile phone app launched by the Spanish government a few years ago, which was intended to bridge the gap in potential response times and evidence gathering for both the National Police and the Guardia Civil.
The app can be downloaded for both Apple and Android phones and, once registered with your personal details such as your NIE, then left on your mobile, hopefully never having to be used.
However, in the event of you needing help, the app is there with you and with the press of a few buttons can summon help from the nearest operational centre.
The app can quickly identify your location, sending that information with your report, and you can include photographs if you witness an incident whilst the emergency services are responding.
The app is also very discreet, so much so it has been applauded most recently for its use in reporting domestic violence, and bullying. Moreover, the app has also been used to located missing and vulnerable people, thanks to the geo-technology.
If you are a victim or witness of a crime, the app puts you in touch with the emergency services immediately, where you can chat to the operators, send photos and videos and you will get an immediate response.
In the event of a localised emergency, you can receive instant notifications from the security services, advising the maximum number of people of a situation in the shortest possible time.
The new version of AlertCops mobile app is now available on both Google Play and the App Store. This version incorporates many new features to improve security. However, if you are already a registered user, you must uninstall the previous version and install the new one on your mobile device, remembering to always download it from the official sources only.
With this latest version of AlertCops, among other features, you can share your position with the people you want or with a rescue centre, send photos and videos along with the alert, receive security notifications depending on where you are or have a chat conversation in your own language, and so, what sensible reason could there be for not installing it and having the security services alongside you at all times, hopefully never having to be used, but in the event that you find yourself or somebody else in difficulty, you know they are there, instantly.
