A TRAIN carrying more than 200 passengers has smashed into a lorry trailer on a level crossing in the south of Spain this afternoon (Thursday).
Emergency services in Andalucia say that seven people have suffered minor injuries in the crash on the Cordoba-Sevilla line between Palma del Rio and Hornachuelos. Three of the injured made their own way to the Reina Sofia Hospital.
The accident happened on a level crossing at km45 of the A-431 just before 3pm.
Train operating company Renfe has said that passengers on the affected continued their journeys by bus.
It is understood the line has now reopened.
