SLOW DOWN: Speed limit reductions to be set for all roads in Palma city

SPEED REDUCTIONS: A GENERAL speed limit of 30 mph is will be introduced in Palma city, a reduction from the current 40 mph restriction. A GENERAL speed limit of 30 kph is will be introduced in Palma city, a reduction from the current 40 kph restriction.

Councillor Joan Ferrer announced that the limit will be imposed in Santa Catalina from the beginning of April. This will be the latest 30kph zone; others are Son Sardina, the old centre, Vivero, Rafal Vell and Rafal Nou,

The limit will apply to all roads except Comte de Barcelona and Caro which are used by EMT buses.
