FOOD FEAR: Traditional tortilla dish causes salmonella outbreak in Spain

A GROUP of people have been affected by salmonella poisoning after eating the traditional Spanish tortilla at a bar in northern Spain.

According to the Delegation of the Junta of Palencia, the number of individuals that have produced symptoms of the infection has risen to 23.

Four of the victims are still hospitalised but are showing good progress.

An inspection of the establishment is being carried out and food samples have been collected.
