STOPPING: Fuengirola Council said it shelve painting plans CREDIT: Fuengirola Council
FUENGIROLA’S mayor said the council will stop painting rocks on the town’s beaches after councillors and the public spoke out about one such project in a recent consultation.
The council announced future plans from Ana Mula’s ruling conservative Partido Popular (PP) to decorate beaches with spray paint had been abandoned following the consultation from February 15 to 22.
Officials said they would also look into returning the San Francisco beach to its previous state after it was spray painted earlier this month.
