A fire at Alicante’s Teatro Principal forced a ballet performance to be cut short this Sunday, as the theatre was evacuated as a precaution.
The small fire started in one of the motors which drivers the curtains on the stage and resulted in minor damage, during the afternoon performance by the National Ballet.
Local police and fire fighters enacted the emergency protocol successfully, and so there were no injuries as a result of the incident.
