THE CAPTIVE Breeding centre ‘El Acebuche’ in the Doñana National Park has welcomed the first three Iberian lynx of the year in Huelva.
Madroña and Juglans are the first couple to copulate this season, giving birth to three healthy lynx puppies.
With a total of 26 breeding pairs, it has been estimated that between 36 and 48 puppies will be born throughout the year.
The next birth is expected to take place this week in La Zarza de Granadilla, Badajoz.
The birth that was able to be followed this weekend through the Lynxexsitu website’s live camera and real-time footage of the mother and puppies can be watched here: http://lynxexsitu.es/directo.php
