CONTINUING the series of events for UK nationals on Living in Spain and Brexit, British Consul Sarah-Jane Morris and her team will be updating residents with the latest information on Brexit and what this means for UK nationals living in Spain at a series of events in Valencia and Murcia.

Over 2,000 people have attended events in the region so far, having their questions answered on topics including residency, healthcare and tax.

A range of experts, charities and neighbourhood support groups are represented at each event, forming a kind of “surgery” to make sure everyone gets the chance to ask their question to the right person.

BREXPATS IN SPAIN will also be providing an update on the current position regarding their work to defend the rights of British citizens in Spain at each event.

Bremain in Spain and Brexpats Hear our Voice will also attend the Valencia event.

Event details:

Valencia City: Thursday 28 February (6pm) at the Casino de Agricultura de Valencia, Calle Comedias 12, 46003 Valencia

La Manga: Wednesday 6 March (11am) at the La Manga Golf Club, Urbanization La Manga Club, 30389 Cartagena, Murcia

Calasparra: Wednesday 6 March (5pm) at the Restaurante Don Gomez, Carretera Calasparra km 12, Calasparra, Murcia

Lliber: Wednesday 13 March (12pm) at the Centro la Pau, Lliber

There is no need to register beforehand. You do not have to be resident in any of the above locations to attend the events, but if you have specific questions about the padrón it might be helpful to attend an event where you live if possible.

British Consul Sarah-Jane Morris said: “Everyone who wants to speak to one of us individually will have the opportunity to do so. If you haven’t yet been to one of the events and are unclear about your situation regarding residency in Spain or how your situation in Spain might change after Brexit, please do come along to one of the remaining dates.”

These events are part of an ongoing programme of outreach and events being held across the country, details of which will be available on the Brits in Spain social media channels and in English language media.

Advice for UK citizens living in Spain can be found here: gov.uk/living-in-spain.
