A PEDESTRIAN crossing that has been dubbed ‘possibly the safest in the world’ on social media can be found in Spain.

Not only does the road come to an abrupt dead end immediately after the crossing but it also protected by bollards on the approach.

The ultra-safe crossing can be found in Elba on the Costa Blanca and, if you have the misfortune to be hit on the crossing, you must be the unluckiest person in the world!

The road revelation comes in the same week as the most unlikely ‘stop’ sign was revealed in Firgas in Gran Canaria, where a palm tree blocks the road between the metre high letters and the stop line.
