THERE will be some 70 hotels in Palma, excluding Playa de Palma, by the end of the year.
In 2003, there were just 30.
This means there are currently around 5,300 rooms available, offering space for more than 10,000 holidaymakers.
The two most recent projects are the building of a city hotel with 30 rooms by the Placa Madrid and the development of the site of the old Firestone building by HM Hotels, which will have 180 rooms.
