Five die in horror smash involving lorry and van in south of Spain this morning

EMERGENCY SERVICES have confirmed that five people have died in a crash between a lorry and a car in southern Spain this morning (Thursday).

The accident happened on the A-394 between Utrera and Arahal in the province of Sevilla reports the 112 Andalucia emergency control centre.

The five male victims, aged from 19-48 and from Las Cabezas de San Juan, were travelling in the van according to officials.

The lorry driver was also injured and transferred to hospital.

Guardia Civil traffic officers are at the scene to investigate the cause of the accident.

In a separate incident in Almeria a 48-year-old man died after his car overturned in the early hours of the morning in El Ejido.
