RAISING THOUSANDS: Soraya Bradley-Perez has Leukaemia and ovarian cancer Photo: Bradley-Perez family, via GoFundMe
CHARITY events have raised thousands of euros to help a local woman who has lived with cancer for two years get life-saving treatment.
A sponsored walk organised by Yorkshire Linen raised more than €1,000 for Soraya Bradley-Perez, 32, who has Leukaemia and ovarian cancer. It comes as her father Antonio died from a heart attack on Friday.
Steph Smith, of Yorkshire Linen and a friend of the 32-year-old’s family, said: “Fundraising efforts have been amazing. There’s now donation tins in shops up and down the coast.”
A charity meal and concern in Calahonda raised more than €2,000 while an event at Finca Alegria in Calahonda raised €500.
A Go Fund Me page has raised around €40,000 and an event held in Bradley-Perez’s home town of Benajafare raised almost €20,000.
