WATCH: Circus blown away by support after big top wrecked by storms in Spain

CIRCUS BERLIN: "The insurance we had was third-party liability and not all risk."

THE show will go on for a circus after they lost their big top to the gales that swept through southern Spain last week.

Circus Berlin has been inundated with offers of help after their huge tent was left in a crumpled heap after storms whipped through La Linea in the Cadiz province of Andalucia.

The circus took to social media saying: “First of all thank the support of so many people who are helping us.

“The insurance we had was third-party liability and not all risk so it does not run with thousands of euros in losses we have suffered.

“The tent was perfectly conditioned to withstand the winds that the forecasts indicated but, unfortunately, the weather is difficult to control and the gusts multiplied compared to the forecasts.”

But the circus will peform again after the Brothers Gonzalez circus offered them a big top while they raise the money to return to normal.

The presenter, actor and playwright Ruben Garcia Perea has also organised an act of solidarity on February 24 which has been supported by the mayor of La Linea, Juan Franco.

Ruben has made an appeal to theatre and circus schools, dance, musical groups, bands, musicians, carnival groups from the whole La Línea and Campo de Gibraltar region to get involved in the fundraising event.
