THE family of a thirteen-year-old girl who accused her uncle of raping her have been arrested after allegedly planning to burn her alive.
Police are currently protecting the girl in La Ribera, Valencia province, after her family reportedly grew angry when she reported her uncle had repeatedly sexually assaulted her.
After officers arrested the forty-year-old man suspect, members of his family allegedly confronted the girl at her home, armed with bottles of fire accelerant and intending to set her alight, according to police.
The girl reportedly managed to escape onto the roof of the property where she was rescued by the Guardia Civil and social services.
She has since been rehoused in a shelter until she can return home.
