THE British airline Jet2.com reportedly plans to increase their service by ten per cent this year in the Spanish market after transporting 3.1 million passengers from the UK to Spain last year.
Jet2.com, which saw a 20 per cent business growth in 2018, expects to operate 640 flights during high season this year.
The total number of offered flight seats offered between Spain and the UK is expected to reach eight million for the first time ever, distributed among the 15 Spanish routes offered by the airline: Alicante, Almeria, Malaga, Murcia, Barcelona, Girona, Reus, Lleida, Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza, Gran Canaria, Tenerife South, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura.
Out of season, Jet2.com is expected to offer 54.3 per cent more seats than last year and Alicante, Tenerife and Palma de Mallorca have been predicted to be the busiest airports for the airline.
Consequently, the airline’s tour operator, Jet2holidays will also see a business increase working with up to 1,800 hotels in Spain.
