THE European Commission issued a formal notice on January 24 as Spain is believed to have failed to meet the requirements of EU railway safety legislation.

The Spanish railway system is under investigation after the EC identified alleged inadequacies in relation to methods used when investigating accidents and incidents.

The issues raised by the EC must be addressed within the next two months or legal action could be taken.

I have moved to Alcossebre, Castellon in the community of Valencia from the Costa del Sol and must say whilst I still receive your updates and weekly paper, for which I am grateful, I wish you would have an office nearer here. There is absolutely nothing for around here so plenty of scope for you and plenty of English.
