THE president of a Spanish growing association has told one publication he will, “fight,” for a solution to water shortages in Axarquia. Javier Braun, the new president of the Spanish Tropical Association, said he feels a, “great responsibility because the sector is going through a tough time.” Braun said the organisation, which represents around 350 farmers from Malaga province, will “fight so that solutions are established,” on the value of crops of ensuring growers have the necessary water resources. He added: “The new president of the Board, Juanma Moreno, has visited the water forums and has committed to working with us. We hope you will see us soon beginning to solve the water problems we have in Axarquia and on the Costa Tropical.”
